Lateral conversion of two buildings to form 3 flats over shops |

74-76 MARYLEBONE LANE, LONDON W1 The brief was for us as architects to form new flats from lateral conversion of two buildings over shops. One staircase was removed which allowed the formation of 3no two bedroom flats over four floors. The floor areas were tight but we managed to fit in ensuite bathrooms and walk in wardrobes to the master bedrooms. There was a change in height between the buildings which internal stairs dealt with. The total area of the flats is 260m2. Service provided; architects drawings. |

The lateral conversion flats are at slightly different levels with a few steps between them. The main bedrooms are compact with walk in wardrobes and ensuite bathrooms |

By the third floor the difference between the buildings is considerable but it still works adding dyanimc to the flat. The doors to the ensuite bathrooms and wardrobes are translucent glass to add the feeling of space. |
