CONVERSION OF OFFICE TO NEW HOUSE

The plan of the building is shallow so a rear extension was added to allow a new staircase to serve all the floors.

To allow light into the basement the ground floor was set back to create a double height space for the basement kitchen.

the construction was difficult as the existing structure turned out to be very fragile and the rear wall had to be very carefully reconstructed.
